P&IDs
When working on subsea assets it is important to understand the layout of an oil or gas production and control system.P&ID drawings map out the detail of a production and control system but can be confusing for inexperienced personnel due to the many symbols in use. This course will help in understanding the different kinds of P&ID symbols, the overall flow process, as well as the different kinds of drawings or diagrams that you may come across through an easy interactive elearning course.
Course Content
- Block diagrams
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID)
- International Standards for symbols
- Types of instrumentation symbols and legends used
- Process components, including pressure, temperature, level and flow
- Valve symbols
- Actuator symbols
- Miscellaneous symbols
Target Participants
P&IDs are used to understand production systems and can be used to trace pressure and electrical source threats. It is recommended that all those who are involved in engineering and diving operations in oil and gas fields complete this course to have an understanding of Pipeline & Instrument Diagrams.
Participants may include but are not limited to the following:
- Client Representatives
- Offshore Managers
- Divers/Supervisors/Superintendents
- ROV Pilot/Technicians/Supervisors
- Field Engineers
- Project Engineers
- Offshore Representatives
- Project Managers
- Operations Managers
- Vessel Managers
